The Governor of Adamawa State, Mohammed Jibrilla has assured non-indigenes in the state of their safety regardless of any threats.
The governor said this in reaction to the quit notice issued to the Igbos in the north by some Arewa youths, asking them to return to the East.
He reiterated the stand of some notable Nigerians that all Nigerians have a right to reside in any part of the country.
The governor was speaking when he played host to several interest groups in Yola as part of the Eid-Il-Fitri celebrations.
Jibrilla also noted that Adamawa State has remained peaceful since the activities of the Boko Haram sect was degraded by the military in the North East except for pockets of suicide attacks in Madagali local government of the state.
He, therefore, advised the Igbos to go about their businesses without any fear.
